Aklyva was founded on a single conviction: that the most consequential decisions in a biotech programme deserve the same depth of scientific scrutiny as the research itself.
Founder
Aklyva is led by Arnaud Tiberghien, a pragmatic drug hunter and medicinal chemist with over 20 years in the biopharmaceutical industry and a deep specialisation in antibody-drug conjugates and peptide-drug conjugates.
Arnaud has contributed to innovation at both dynamic biotechnology companies and large pharmaceutical organisations — bringing the scientific rigour of a large-pharma environment and the pace and pragmatism of an entrepreneurial one. His career spans modern organic chemistry through to in vivo pharmacology, with a broad understanding of translational science and the interpretation of clinical data.
His most significant contribution to the field is as a major contributor to the development of Zynlonta® (loncastuximab tesirine), the FDA-approved antibody-drug conjugate for relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. He is the author of a book chapter on Tesirine — the pyrrolobenzodiazepine dimer payload at the heart of Zynlonta® — and holds authorship on more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and patents across ADC and PDC science.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and a recognised voice in the ADC field — having spoken at World ADC and other international forums — Arnaud founded Aklyva to make this depth of expertise available to the programmes that need it most: early-stage biotechs building conjugate platforms, and investors requiring independent scientific assessment they can rely on.

Scientific independence
Aklyva has no commercial relationships with CROs, CDMOs, or platform vendors. Every recommendation is made on scientific merit alone — which is the only basis on which advisory is worth having.
Depth over coverage
We do not offer broad strategic consulting across all of biotech. Aklyva operates within a defined scientific domain — payloads, conjugates, and outsourced chemistry — and within that domain, the expertise is deep and current.
Outcomes, not outputs
